A dying tree spirit is reaching for the heavens to see them for the last time.

I used Zbrush 3.1 to create many of the elements in this picture, such as the tree spirit, the cliff, the mushrooms and one of the hills. I then textured them using Photoshop CS 3.
The rest was done completely in Photoshop CS 3.

I tried to make this picture look as surrealistic as possible in order to reflect the dying tree spirit's last thoughts, as I imagine that one's last thoughts are probably somewhat insane and delusional.
